Branding

What’s in a Brand? Why should you care?

Branding and marketing go hand in hand, but they are not interchangeable. They work together to attract attention from the right people at the right time. The way I like to explain it is that your brand IS your story, and marketing is TELLING that story. Getting your story right before you tell it is important, and here are a few reasons why.
1) The wrong story may attract the wrong group of people who won’t do business with you
2) An incomplete story won’t do a good job of differentiating you from your competitors
3) A good story is easy to relate to and remember

A brand is bigger than your logo. It’s more than what you look like. I created a branding pie that identifies the five critical parts of a brand. Some you may already associate with branding, some you may think don’t belong in a branding exercise.

One of the questions I get asked a lot is “how do I look and sound different from my competitors?” When you develop your brand properly, addressing all five pieces of the branding pie, it’s easy. You will automatically look different because you ARE different. No one else can have the same story as you.

Want to learn what the five pieces are and why they are important?

Check out this 28-minute video I recorded just for you. No obligations, no signups, and no strings attached. I believe you will think about your brand differently, be more excited to intentionally develop it, and change your marketing for the better with your new knowledge.
